The Sewing project
Learning to sew some basic hand stitch.
Create a useful decorated pouch for storage, place-mat or bookmark. Design and complete an individual project. Present your exciting creation on the last day of the Pilot Programme
The following materials are used:
Fabric
Embroidery needles
Embroidery thread
Scissors
Buttons
Paper to create your designs
For the basic sewing project a fabric commonly known as Binca or Aida is used to practice some embroidery stitch types such as cross stitch, back stitch, running stitch, zigzag and sewing buttons.
Participants can work with a partner to create and complete a project which is presented on the last day of the Pilot Programme.
