What is public speaking?
Public speaking is the process of speaking to a group of people in a structured, deliberate manner intended to inform, influence, or entertain the listeners.
In this session you will have an opportunity to look at two powerful public speakers of our time Barak Obama and Mohammed Ali.
What made them great speaker?
What qualities did they have to inspire such a huge following?
We critically examine these great figures and learn about the qualities needed to become a great public speaker.
Also we will contrast this with poor speaking style.
Learn skills needed to speak in public with confidence on your chosen subject, from using your voice effectively, to having the right body language.
Give a 3 minute presentation on your chosen subject in front of your peers and evaluate your own performance as well as that of others.
Remember we learn best from reflecting on our mistakes…
